While travelling in Iceland in Feb of 2020 with my friends Gary and Desirée, we often encountered reindeer along the North and Westerly routes. We were being pursued by a large storm that was moving along the South Coast, but found a small herd near Vestrahorn, and were able to get close enough to get decent shots of the majestic creatures. I love the texture of the fur of the reindeer closest.
In my humble opinion, this is one of the best photos I've ever taken. On another trip with Gary and Desz, we took to the water to find seabirds, specifically puffins. This photo was taken off the side of a tour boat, as 50K+ seabirds flew or swam around us. It was an impressive sight, and plenty of opportunity to get the myriad of birds in the air.
One of my favourite places to shoot is the Night Market, and catch the performers in action as they dance with fire.
